PetPal by PetDoing
Privacy Policy
This policy explains the personal information PetDoing handles when you use PetPal, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Effective September 2, 20261. Scope and operator
This policy applies to the PetPal website, future PetPal mobile apps, and related support services operated under the PetDoing name. It does not govern third-party websites, stores, payment services, or advertisers that have their own privacy policies.
Questions and privacy requests may be sent to tiandisk001@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
- Identifiers and account data: email address, display name, username, account ID, password hash, verification status, account settings, and session-security records.
- Pet profiles and public content: pet names, species, breed, age, care details you choose to provide, photos, videos, Live media, posts, comments, likes, saves, and follows.
- Relationships and communications: swipes, matches, friend requests, messages, audio messages, call invitations and connection events, reports, blocks, appeals, and safety actions.
- Location: a city you enter and, with permission, device coordinates used to calculate approximate distance or nearby results. Precise coordinates are treated as sensitive and are not returned to other users.
- Device, internet, and activity data: IP address, browser or app type, device and operating-system information, diagnostics, security logs, feature interactions, ad events, and crash or performance data.
- Commerce data: checkout and product sales are not available at public launch, and we do not collect payment-card numbers. Before commerce becomes available, we will describe any order, recipient, payment, fulfillment, and payment-processor data flows in an updated notice.
- Content-safety signals: automated risk scores, technical metadata, review decisions, and evidence identifiers. We avoid retaining a provider's raw response when a smaller auditable record is sufficient.
3. Sources of information
We receive information directly from you; automatically from your browser, app, device, and use of PetPal; from people who interact with or report content; and from service providers that support hosting, storage, email, moderation, analytics, advertising, payments, fraud prevention, and customer support.
4. Why we use information
- Provide accounts, profiles, personalized Discover ordering, feeds, matching, friendship, messages, calls, uploads, and purchases.
- Verify email, authenticate devices, prevent fraud and spam, enforce rate limits, diagnose failures, and protect users, animals, and the service.
- Moderate public content and reported or risk-signaled communications, handle appeals, and maintain auditable safety records.
- Provide support, respond to rights requests, measure service reliability, and improve product accessibility and performance.
- Comply with law, enforce our terms, establish or defend legal claims, and complete a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. How information is disclosed
- Other users: receive content and profile details you make public, content shared with eligible friends, and information needed for a match or conversation.
- Processors and service providers: may process the categories needed to provide hosting, object storage, email delivery, content safety, analytics, advertising, payments, calls, and support under contractual restrictions.
- Authorities and safety recipients: may receive information when reasonably necessary to comply with valid legal process, report legally reportable content, protect safety, or enforce our policies.
- Business successors: may receive information as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or similar transaction, subject to applicable notice and confidentiality duties.
We do not sell personal information for money. PetPal's launch advertising is non-personalized, and we do not use private chat, precise location, or pet health details to personalize advertising. If we later use cross-context behavioral advertising that applicable law defines as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, we will provide the required opt-out before enabling it.
6. Communications, calls, location, and automated moderation
Messages and uploaded chat media pass through PetPal systems so they can be delivered, synchronized, secured, and made available across your devices. Audio and video calls use WebRTC and may connect participants directly or relay encrypted transport through a TURN service; PetPal processes signaling and call metadata but does not design the call service to record live call content. Audio messages are uploaded chat media and are retained under the chat-media policy.
Location access is optional. If enabled, coordinates are used to calculate nearby results and are reduced to approximate distance or city before another user receives them. You may disable location and change display precision in Account settings.
Automated systems may scan public content for policy risks. Private messages, private chat attachments, and reports about private chat are excluded from automated content scanning. Delivery, compression, file validation, storage cleanup, and account security controls still operate. For public posts, uploaded public images, and reports about public content, a supplemental provider may analyze the minimum necessary text or image when the primary checks cannot reach a reliable conclusion. When enabled, Azure AI Content Safety processes this supplemental content in a selected United States region. Reports remain for a human decision; a low-risk result does not dismiss a report. Low-risk items may be automatically approved; uncertain or higher-risk items are held for authorized review. Automated systems can be wrong, and eligible enforcement decisions may be appealed.
7. Retention and deletion
- Profiles and Plaza content: are generally retained while your account or content remains active, then removed or de-identified subject to backups, safety records, and legal obligations.
- Chat media: is currently scheduled to expire from cloud object storage after 30 days. A device may keep a local cached copy until the user or operating system removes it. Message records and content retained by a recipient may last longer.
- Live calls: call content is not designed to be recorded by PetPal; limited signaling, quality, abuse-prevention, and call-event records may be retained as reasonably necessary.
- Account deletion: immediately disables the account, revokes sessions, makes owned pet profiles private, and removes owned Plaza posts from feeds. The account becomes eligible for purge after a 30-day safety and fraud-prevention period.
- Safety, transaction, and legal records: may be kept longer when needed to prevent repeat abuse, resolve payments, comply with law, or establish or defend claims. Encrypted backups expire through their normal rotation.
8. Your privacy choices
You can control pet visibility, location precision, presence, friend requests, notification categories, in-app sounds, and advertising preferences in PetPal. Browser or device permissions separately control location, camera, microphone, photos, and notifications.
A supported browser may send a Global Privacy Control signal. Where applicable law requires recognition, we treat a valid GPC signal as an opt-out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising for that browser. Launch ads are already non-personalized.
9. U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on your state and whether the applicable law covers PetDoing, you may have rights to confirm processing; access or know categories and specific pieces of information; correct inaccuracies; delete information; obtain a portable copy; opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive information; and appeal a denied request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.
Submit a request through available account controls or email tiandisk001@gmail.com. Describe the right and account involved. We may verify your identity and, where allowed, accept a request from an authorized agent after verifying authority. If we deny an appealable request, our response will explain how to appeal.
California notice at collection
During the preceding 12 months, the categories described in Section 2 may have been collected for the purposes in Section 4 and disclosed to the recipients in Section 5. These categories can include identifiers; internet or network activity; approximate or precise geolocation when enabled; user-generated audio, visual, and communications content; commercial information; and inferences used for recommendations or safety. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics beyond permitted service and safety purposes.
10. Security and international processing
We use measures such as encryption in transit, private production media storage, short-lived signed access, access controls, session revocation, monitoring, backups, and scoped service credentials. No method is perfectly secure. Information may be processed in the United States and other places where our providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.
11. Adults only
PetPal is intended only for people age 18 or older. We do not knowingly permit children to create accounts. If you believe a person under 18 has provided personal information, contact tiandisk001@gmail.com so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as PetPal evolves. We will provide appropriate notice before a material change takes effect. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to tiandisk001@gmail.com; general support is available at tiandisk001@gmail.com.
