A dog festival, a pet expo and a competitive dog show are different days out. “An event about pets” does not guarantee that a visitor can bring their own animal. Here are four series with organizer sources and the details we could verify on October 4, 2026.

Dates below are organizer announcements, not a live schedule. Edition status follows the venue’s calendar date; cancellation, ticket availability and opening hours must still be checked with the organizer. We do not sell event tickets.

DogFest at the Palace

Listed date window — check venue hours

Listed dates
October 3–4, 2026
Venue
Blenheim Palace

An outdoor, dog-focused outing with activities for owners and dogs. The organizer lists the Palace edition separately from its other venues.

Bringing your pet: The Palace FAQ welcomes dogs under its responsible-ownership rules. Dogs must be vaccinated and leashed except in the specified have-a-go activities. Additional rules apply to XL Bullies; read the full FAQ and applicable government requirements.

Before booking: This is the listed 2026 edition, not a confirmed date for 2027. The FAQ says tickets must be booked online before arrival. Check live notices and the edition you intend to attend.

Super Pet Expo — Edison

Organizer-listed future dates

Listed dates
January 8–10, 2027 — homepage announcement
Venue
Edison; confirm 2027 venue details with the organizer

A pet expo with shopping, exhibits and activities. The organizer homepage announces an Edison edition for January 8–10, 2027.

Bringing your pet: The Edison detail page welcomes leashed, friendly pets, but its main event details still describe January 9–11, 2026. Confirm the 2027 visitor-pet conditions directly rather than assuming every old detail carries over.

Before booking: Date mismatch spotted: the homepage shows 2027, while the detail page body still shows the 2026 edition. Do not reuse its old prices, hours or programme for 2027 without confirmation.

Birmingham, United Kingdom

Crufts

Organizer-listed future dates

Listed dates
March 4–7, 2027
Venue
The NEC Birmingham

The organizer announces four days of dog-show activities at the NEC. Viewing and exhibiting are different participation types.

Bringing your pet: The reviewed ticket page confirms assistance-dog access. It does not establish permission for an ordinary visitor’s pet dog; ask the organizer before bringing your dog.

Before booking: The ticket page says 2027 tickets will be available later in the year. A listed show date does not prove tickets are currently on sale. Check visitor access and booking availability on the official site.

Venue
Woodbine Park on the reviewed edition page

The organizer describes a dog festival in Toronto with vendors, demonstrations and activities for dogs and people.

Bringing your pet: The reviewed homepage invites visitors to bring dogs. That description belongs to the edition shown; future admission conditions still need confirmation.

Before booking: The homepage still shows June 22–23, 2024. We could not verify a future edition from it. Treat this as a series to research, not a current event to travel to.

Choose the outing before buying the ticket

For a dog that enjoys short, familiar walks but not crowds, a large festival may be a poor match. Start with the organizer’s welfare and admission rules. Check queues, noise, rest areas, water, weather arrangements and whether you can leave and re-enter. Have a way to end the visit early.

For cats and other animals, ask about the exact species, its secure carrier and whether you are registering a show animal or attending as a visitor. A cat-show listing alone does not establish ordinary visitor-cat access.

A small pre-booking checklist

  1. Match the year and dates on the homepage, venue page and ticket checkout. Resolve any disagreement with the organizer.
  2. Confirm whether visitor pets are admitted, which species, and any vaccination, leash, muzzle or carrier requirements.
  3. Check transport and accommodation separately; event admission does not establish either.
  4. Read cancellation, refund and weather terms before paying.

When your pet stays home, prepare a care handover. If you post pictures from the event, use the photo privacy checklist before sharing tags, tickets or identifiable details.
